pottering
days are over? , well may be and there again maybe not - 'cause no matter what the month and certainly there are no may bees flying this month; my putting days are starting. Putting you say, go on try saying that again with a mouthful of early morning ' the day after' prunes. No you fool not "again" but "putting".
Having got that out of the way, time for some 'putting out' yes you have understood correctly I have indulged myself and the general public in my first 'public putting' on French soil in fact in that bunker of sand called la plage. Where's the evidence? you ask in that supercilious bilious expression you habitually wear off the shoulder. Well, what better than a photo or two. As the saying goes , and certainly even truer in these days of the instant clic than ' a photo tells a thousand lies and by Jove tells them well' that is of course if you are still into some of those old time gods; with a little 'g'.
Photo one / as you can see it's the sea that I am 'putting' out of much like the arrival of that other well known putter 'Venus' although due to the inhabitual inclement weather I am presenting a picture of sea-side elegance in wearing my new neon red stocking cap. Perhaps to be considered by strangers as a sign of my novice status in the public art of putting. I think I'll entitle this photo 'emerging putter' mind you if the tide came in any quicker and if I was not such a slicker when it comes to putting I would have probably ended up with the title ' emerging splutter'

Next photo; let's start with a question , traditionally what else can be seen in such a fetching red when a putter is about?. This second photo was taken as I confronted the awakening nightmare of all eventual would be putters - the red flag of journey's end. As many nightmares , somewhat larger than life, certainly larger than me loomed before me; "quel challenge". In the enlarged version of this photo you will see the many faceted ball forging ahead half way between arriving and leaving " quelles suspenders".

So such is life from pottering to putting but there again why not have both. Simply just pottering and putting through life - as one can say in the terku way: potter / just another step in life / putting.
So without putting the horse in front of the cart the week begins with the week-end: enjoy
